Srinagar, May 25, 2026 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday said that the situation at the Gulmarg Gondola remains fully under control after the cable car service was temporarily suspended due to a technical fault.
In a statement shared by the Office of the Chief Minister on X, the administration assured that all gondola cabins are safe and intact, while rescue teams have been deployed to safely evacuate stranded tourists.
Officials said the administration is closely monitoring the situation and trained personnel are actively carrying out rescue and evacuation operations on the ground to ensure the safety of all passengers.
Authorities urged the public not to panic, assuring that all necessary safety protocols and precautionary measures are in place and the matter is being handled efficiently.
