SAMBA, April 25, 2026 : In a powerful show of public unity against drug abuse, Manoj Sinha joined a large anti-drug rally in Samba as part of the ongoing 100-day campaign under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.
Addressing a massive gathering, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that youth hold the key to eliminating the drug menace, urging them to stay determined and choose the right path.
“This movement will inspire future generations and prove that when people unite, they can change history,” Sinha said.
👥 People’s Movement Gains Momentum
The rally saw participation from people across all sections of society, reflecting growing public support for a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.
The campaign, launched on April 11 with a padyatra in Jammu, has since expanded across multiple districts, turning into a mass movement.

Over the past two weeks, authorities have intensified action:
- Scores of drug peddlers, including key kingpins, arrested
- Multiple properties linked to traffickers demolished
- Continuous enforcement drives across the region

Sinha highlighted that the fight against drugs cannot succeed without the active involvement of young people, calling their dreams and potential the strongest force against the menace.
