JAMMU, April 27, 2026 : In a major action against narcotics networks, the Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested six persons and attached properties worth ₹73 lakh across multiple districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
🔍 Doda Operation
In Doda, police detained three individuals, including a woman, during a raid:
- 85 grams of suspected brown sugar recovered
- Over ₹23 lakh cash seized
The accused include Zareena Begum, her daughter, and son-in-law, all under investigation for alleged drug peddling.
🚔 Kathua Arrests
In Kathua, three more individuals were arrested:
- Pardeep Singh
- Rahees Butt
- Ali Sen (from Punjab)
Seizures included:
- Small quantities of heroin from Singh and Butt
- A major haul of 303 grams of heroin from Ali Sen
All were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act).
🏠 Property Attachments in Udhampur
In Udhampur, authorities attached assets worth ₹73 lakh:
- Residential house, car, motorcycle, and mobile phone (₹65 lakh) linked to Saif Ali
- Additional car worth ₹8 lakh linked to Danish Butt
These actions were taken under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act, targeting assets acquired through illegal drug trade.

Officials reiterated their commitment to:
- Dismantle drug supply networks
- Target financial assets of traffickers
- Continue sustained crackdowns across the region
The operations highlight a coordinated effort to curb narcotics and strengthen law enforcement in the Union Territory.
