SRINAGAR, May 1, 2026 : In a major breakthrough against job fraud networks, the Special Crime Wing Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K has filed a chargesheet in a multi-lakh government job scam, exposing a conspiracy involving fake appointments and impersonation.
⚖️ Chargesheet Filed in Court
The case, registered as FIR No. 09/2019, has been presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar under multiple sections of RPC, including cheating, forgery, impersonation, and criminal conspiracy.
Three accused have been chargesheeted:
- Fayaz Ahmad Khan
- Showkat Ahmad Shah
- Owais Ahmad Rather
💰 Modus Operandi Exposed
Investigations revealed that the accused:
- Duped victims of lakhs of rupees
- Promised government jobs through “backdoor entry”
- Impersonated officials to gain trust
- Issued fake appointment orders in the Forest Department
All documents were later verified and found to be forged and fabricated.
🔍 Victims & Investigation
The case originated from complaints by residents of Pulwama, who were cheated under the false promise of securing jobs for their children and relatives.
The probe confirmed a well-planned criminal conspiracy, leading to the filing of the chargesheet for judicial proceedings.
