SRINAGAR, May 24, 2026 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that India places immense trust in its youth and believes the younger generation will lead the nation to greater heights in the future.
The Lieutenant Governor made these remarks while addressing the Special National Integration Camp organised by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh in Srinagar.
“India places its hope and confidence in its youth, trusting that the young generation will lead the nation to greater heights. NCC cadets must honour that trust by living the values of the NCC and spreading them across communities,” Sinha said during his interaction with cadets from across the country.
Highlighting the significance of the camp, the Lieutenant Governor described it as a living symbol of India’s unity and national spirit where young cadets are not merely witnessing history but actively shaping the future of the nation.
Emphasising the country’s cultural strength, Sinha said India’s greatest power lies in transforming diversity into unity and weaving together multiple cultures into a shared national identity.
“For centuries, our greatest strength has been turning diversity into unity and building one national spirit from many cultures,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor urged the cadets to utilise the values of unity, discipline and leadership learned during the camp for the betterment of society.
He also stressed that the spirit of patriotism nurtured during the programme should be carried forward responsibly among the youth in their respective states and cities.
Observing that NCC youth represent both the present strength and future builders of India, Sinha said young people are inheriting a rapidly changing world but possess the confidence, skills and determination needed to confront future challenges successfully.
“The youth of India are full of confidence and equipped with the capability to rise to every challenge with courage,” he remarked.
Praising the enthusiasm and creative energy of NCC cadets, the Lieutenant Governor said such energy must be channelled with a clear sense of purpose so that young people remain resilient against future challenges.
Referring to the NCC motto “Unity and Discipline,” he urged the youth to work towards strengthening harmony in their regions, resolving social issues through dialogue and mutual respect, and contributing towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
The event also featured vibrant cultural performances by NCC cadets showcasing the rich diversity and traditions of India.
Officials informed that the camp has brought together nearly 340 NCC cadets and officers from different parts of the country.
