Jammu, June 19, 2026 : In a significant administrative action, the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services, Jammu and Kashmir, has suspended four officials following their arrest by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with a corruption case registered in Jammu.
According to an official order issued by Director, Fire and Emergency Services, Alok Kumar, the action was taken after the officials were arrested in connection with FIR No. 01/2025 registered at Police Station ACB Central Jammu.
The officials placed under suspension are:
- Farooq Ahmad Wani, Leading Fireman
- Mohammad Abdul Qayoom, Fireman
- Feroz Ahmad Yatoo, Fireman
- Shameem Ahmad Dar, Fireman
The suspension order has been issued pending further investigation and legal proceedings in the case. The Anti-Corruption Bureau is currently probing the matter under the relevant provisions of law.
The action reflects the administration’s continued emphasis on accountability, transparency, and maintaining integrity within public institutions. Officials stated that disciplinary measures will be pursued in accordance with established rules and procedures.
