JAMMU, July 16, 2026 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government’s Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment has ordered the transfer and posting of nine officers, including eight Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers, as part of an administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening the functioning of the Forest Department.
The transfer orders, issued on July 16, 2026, involve key postings and reassignments of senior officers across various wings of the department.
The reshuffle is expected to enhance administrative efficiency, streamline governance, and improve the implementation of forest conservation, wildlife protection, and environmental management initiatives across the Union Territory.
