JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 14, 2026 ; Passengers using Jammu Tawi Railway Station will have to follow revised entry and exit arrangements from September 16, 2026, as redevelopment work continues at the station.
According to railway officials, the new system is being introduced to facilitate the ongoing redevelopment and ensure smoother movement of passengers.
New Passenger Entry & Exit Routes
Under the revised arrangement:
- Passengers arriving at the station to board trains will enter from the Platform No. 1 side.
- Passengers completing their journey and deboarding trains will exit through the Narwal side.
Railway authorities have advised passengers and their accompanying family members to take note of the changes before reaching the station.
Special Arrangement for Platform No. 1
Officials said that when a train arrives at Platform No. 1, family members and relatives accompanying passengers for drop-off will also be permitted to exit from the Platform No. 1 side.
The revised movement plan will remain in place in view of the ongoing redevelopment work at Jammu Tawi station.
Passengers are advised to allow extra time for navigating the changed routes and follow instructions and signage at the station to avoid inconvenience.
