Inter District Tournament in celebration of Press week organised by MCC
JAMMU, Nov 17: The Inter-district invitational cricket tournament for all districts, is being jointly organised by the Malhotra Cricket Club, J&K at Forest Cricket Ground Stadium, here today.
Surinder Bhagat Senior Leader BJP, Chandigarh Prabahari inaugurated the championship, on opening ceremony day wherein sixteen teams from Jammu & Kashmir are taking part in the seven-day tournament.
Speaking on the occasion Surinder Bhagat stated that MCC resolve to support the players and their Associations. He on this occasion also outlined the series of sports events being organised in respect of the press celebrating “Press Week” the fourth pillar of democracy. He also talks about the Modiji programme– ‘My Youth My Pride’ and “Har Din Khel -Sabke Liye Khel.”
Social Activist Anukul Bhagat in a message to the players wished the tournament all success and pledged full support to the seven-day tourney.
Earlier, Sanjeev Kumar, Assistant Director of Forest Protection Force J&K in his welcome address thanked Surinder Bhagat, MCC, Anukul Bhagat Social Activist and Shubham Kotwal Guest of Honour, Media Fraternity along with various youth for their support in organising the tournament.
Malhotra Cricket Club, Jammu also spoke on the occasion and encouraged the players.
