Jammu, April 18, 2026 : Manoj Sinha emphasized that national security is strengthened not just by soldiers at the borders, but also by residents of border villages, calling them vital stakeholders in the nation’s progress.
Addressing a public gathering at Vibrant Village Sariah in Rajouri, the Lieutenant Governor inaugurated a Common Service Centre and launched multiple development projects, including water conservation works and playgrounds in nearby villages.
He highlighted that border village development is integral to national security, stressing that these regions should become among the most prosperous in the country.
“Border areas are no longer the nation’s edge but its first village and foremost opportunity,” Sinha said, crediting the vision of Narendra Modi for transforming connectivity and development in these regions.
Under initiatives like the Vibrant Villages Programme and Border Area Development Programme, the administration is focusing on infrastructure, welfare schemes, and connectivity to uplift remote areas.
Sinha noted that development in border villages—roads, electricity, and employment—not only improves lives but also strengthens national confidence and security.
He also urged officials to ensure 100% saturation of key schemes such as HADP, Mission Youth, and Mudra Yojana, ensuring no eligible citizen is left behind.
During the visit, he paid tribute to Mohammad Usman and interacted with local residents, beneficiaries, and stakeholders. He also launched the Vibrant Village Anthem and distributed appointment and sanction letters under various government schemes.
