JAMMU, April 27, 2026 : In a major breakthrough against terrorism, the National Investigation Agency has taken over the probe into an interstate Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) module and secured custody of five arrested terrorists for interrogation.
🔍 Major Counter-Terror Operation
The case stems from an April 7 operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, which led to the arrest of five operatives, including:
- Abdullah alias Abu Hureira (on the run for 16 years)
- Usman alias Khubaib (Pakistani national)
- Mohammad Naqeeb Bhat
- Adil Rashid
- Ghulam Mohammad Mir alias Mama
🌐 Deep-Rooted Network Exposed
Investigations revealed a well-established interstate network involved in:
- Providing logistics support to terrorists
- Facilitating financial channels
- Establishing bases beyond Jammu and Kashmir
⚖️ Court Proceedings
After taking over the case, the NIA produced the accused before a special court in Jammu.
- Two Pakistani nationals: Sent to 2-day NIA custody
- Three local operatives: Sent to 15-day custody
