PAHALGAM, April 22, 2026 : Sending a strong message of confidence, Malaysian tour leader Mohammad Fadli described Kashmir, including Pahalgam, as “safe and very peaceful” during his visit with a group of international tourists.
Arriving with 21 visitors exactly one year after the 2025 terror attack, Fadli said the region’s natural beauty and calm environment remain intact, offering reassurance to travellers worldwide.
A fan of Indian cinema, he recalled scenes from Bajrangi Bhaijaan shot along the Lidder river, adding that Kashmir continues to attract global tourists inspired by its scenic charm.
Despite heightened security presence, Fadli emphasized that his group felt safe and enjoyed their experience, encouraging more international travellers to visit without fear.
Tourism stakeholders said such visits reflect growing confidence and recovery in Kashmir’s tourism sector, which was impacted by last year’s attack.
