JAMMU, April 14, 2026 : Praising the power of selfless service, Manoj Sinha on Tuesday attended the ceremony marking the upgradation of Apna Bhojanalaya at Government Medical College Jammu, a community kitchen run by Sewa Bharti with support from Jammu and Kashmir Bank and other donors.
The Lt Governor lauded the initiative, describing it as a shining example of compassion and community service that uplifts lives and strengthens society. He also partook in a meal at the Bhojanalaya, appreciating the efforts of volunteers and contributors.
“Sewa Bharti’s enduring spirit of giving back empowers individuals and strengthens communities. To serve food to the needy is among the most sacred acts,” Sinha said, emphasizing that such initiatives uphold dignity and humanity at its finest.
Highlighting the broader impact, he stated that acts of service like these help build stronger families and communities, ultimately contributing to a stronger Jammu and Kashmir. He called upon citizens to embrace selfless service with dedication, vision, and compassion.
Commending Sewa Bharti and its volunteers, the Lt Governor said their efforts have transformed countless lives by not only feeding the hungry but also restoring dignity and hope. He urged society to ensure that such noble initiatives continue uninterrupted.
On the occasion, Sinha also reiterated the need for collective action against drug abuse and called upon all sections of society to join the ongoing Nasha Mukt movement.
