Srinagar:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ram Madhav returned to Kashmir holding a series of meetings with local leaders to spearhead the party’s campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The elections, scheduled for September, are particularly significant as they will be held after a 10-year hiatus in the region. Ram Madhav’s return as election in-charge also ends his five-year political break, signaling a robust push by the BJP to strengthen its presence in the region.
Senior BJP leader and Amarnath Yatra Kashmir in-charge, Tafazul Wani, along with Central Kashmir in-charge Umar Khan, warmly welcomed Ram Madhav’s return in Kashmir valley.
They expressed their enthusiasm, noting that his leadership has revitalized the party’s local unit, which previously worked closely with him during the 2014 elections.
Tafazul Wani confidently stated, “With Ram Madhav at the helm, we are fully optimistic that the Bharatiya Janata Party will secure all seats in the Kashmir Valley.”
In addition to Ram Madhav, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy will also play a key role in overseeing the elections in the Union Territory, further bolstering the BJP’s campaign efforts. The party’s local leaders are hopeful that this combined leadership will translate into a significant electoral victory in the Kashmir Valley.
