REASI, April 22, 2026 : A comprehensive security audit was carried out at the revered Shiv Khori Shrine in Reasi district to strengthen safety measures for the growing number of pilgrims.
Senior Superintendent of Police Mukund Tibrewal led the exercise, reviewing surveillance systems, crowd management strategies, and emergency response preparedness. Security of adjoining areas was also assessed to ensure a robust protection framework.
Key installations, including Domail Checkpoint, Special Police Posts at Ikhni and Jhandi Morh, and Police Station Ransoo, were inspected to evaluate operational readiness. Directions were issued for structured patrolling, enhanced night operations, and stronger coordination with local communities and Village Defence Guards (VDGs).
The SSP also emphasized improved record management, infrastructure upkeep, and adherence to standard procedures, reinforcing professionalism and accountability within the force.
Reasi Police reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of both residents and devotees visiting the shrine.
