Jammu, August 13, 2026 : The General Officer Commanding (GOC), White Knight Corps, visited the Headquarters of CIF (Romeo) to review the prevailing security situation and assess the operational preparedness of forces deployed across the hinterland areas of the Rajouri-Poonch region.
According to a post shared by White Knight Corps on X, the Corps Commander was briefed on the current security dynamics, surveillance architecture, counter-infiltration measures and various initiatives being undertaken to further strengthen the operational capabilities of formations and units deployed in the hinterland.
Focus on Vigilance and Operational Readiness
During the visit, the GOC reviewed the preparedness of the forces and assessed measures aimed at effectively responding to emerging security challenges in the strategically important Pir Panjal region.
The Corps Commander appreciated the alertness, professionalism and operational acumen of the troops, acknowledging their efforts in maintaining a robust security posture in the region.
He called upon all ranks to maintain the highest standards of readiness, vigilance and responsiveness, stressing the importance of remaining prepared to deal with any emerging threat or security challenge.
CIF (Romeo) Key to Pir Panjal Security
CIF (Romeo) is responsible for counter-insurgency operations in the Pir Panjal region and plays a crucial role in maintaining security across the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
The review comes amid continued efforts by security forces to strengthen surveillance, counter-infiltration measures and operational preparedness across vulnerable areas of the region.
The visit reaffirmed the Army’s focus on maintaining a high state of operational readiness and a strong security grid across the Rajouri-Poonch belt.
