Jammu/Leh, September 28, 2026 : In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Ladakh Administration has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of 12 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers following their deputation to the Union Territory.
As part of the latest administrative orders, four JKAS officers have also been relieved of their duties in Ladakh with immediate effect. They have been directed to report back to the General Administration Department (GAD), Jammu & Kashmir.
The reshuffle comes as part of the ongoing administrative deployment of officers between Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The transfer and posting orders are expected to realign administrative responsibilities and strengthen the functioning of various departments in the Union Territory.
The four officers relieved from their assignments in Ladakh will now return to the J&K administration, while the newly posted officers will assume their respective responsibilities in Ladakh as per the government orders.
The developments mark another administrative adjustment involving JKAS officers serving on deputation in Ladakh, with the changes taking effect immediately.
