CHANDIGARH, November 4, 2025 : In the icy expanse of Siachen, where courage meets compassion, the Indian Army has once again proved that its duty extends beyond borders — to every living being.
A viral 2-minute, 54-second video shared by IFS officer Parveen Kaswan shows soldiers rescuing a Himalayan brown bear cub whose head was trapped in a metal canister amid the rugged terrain.
Displaying calm precision, the soldiers carefully cut open the canister, freeing the terrified cub without injury. After the rescue, they fed and comforted the animal before it trotted back into the wild — a moment that melted hearts nationwide.
The video, viewed over 1.4 lakh times, has drawn widespread praise online.
“Our soldiers protect not just borders but life in every form. Salute to their compassion,” wrote one user.
The act stands as a touching reminder that even in one of the world’s highest battlefields, humanity thrives.
