JAMMU, April 23, 2026 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday assured that genuine public concerns will be addressed on priority, reiterating his government’s commitment to inclusive and balanced development.
During meetings with multiple public and trade delegations, the Chief Minister reviewed a wide range of issues related to business, infrastructure, and regional development.
A delegation from the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry highlighted key challenges faced by traders and sought policy support to boost economic activity. Members also appreciated the restoration of the Darbar Move, noting its positive impact on markets, transport, and hospitality sectors.
Another delegation from the Pir Panjal region raised concerns related to tourism potential, healthcare, education, drinking water, and employment opportunities, especially in border areas.
Responding to the demands, Omar Abdullah assured timely action and emphasized the government’s focus on equitable growth and development across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
