BANI, APR 14: As per direction of the Director Ayush Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Mohan Singh, DAO Kathua Dr. Ajay Kumar Tikoo and SDM Bani Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Ayush Medical Health awareness camp was organized at Mela Ground Bani by Dr. Ritu Thakur and Junior Pharmacist Sudesh Kumar here today. A total number of 914 persons benefited from the camp.
During the camp people were provided free medicines especially immunity boosters meant for strengthening their immunity. Moreover, they were also made aware about positive health habits that go a long way in ensuring healthy and long life.
In her address on the occasion, Dr Ritu Singh highlighted the benefits of ISM stating that its main benefit is that it does not rely heavily on the use of medicines as natural methods are used to treat and cure diseases. This means that the patient does not have to suffer from any side effects of the medicines. She said that The Indian system of medicines includes Ayurveda, naturotherapy, yoga etc. Moreover, these treatments have the advantage that they are inexpensive and also very effective, she added. She asserted that ISM provides safe treatments and offers comprehensive health care.
Dr Ritu Singh said that it is an old adage that ‘Health is Wealth’ and people must remember it 24X7 so that they synchronize their daily routine activities in conformity with the optimum standard healthy habits to keep the diseases away and lead a happy and prosperous life. She said that India has been able to face the Covid-19 pandemic in a much better way than other developed nations in the world mainly due to the level of immunity that Indians have because of being hardworking and keeping them physically active. Moreover, this was augmented by the unprecedented efforts on the part of the government that ultimately led to success despite having second largest population in the world. Warning that Covid has not yet gone she urged the people not to let down the guard and follow the Covid-SOPs especially wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
