- Glowing tributes paid to Dr.Aziz Hajini on his first death anniversary
Srinagar: Halqa adab Hajin sonawari and Wahab cultural society under the patronage of Adabi markaz kamraz on Sunday remember renowned poet and scholar Dr.Aziz Hajini on his first death anniversary at tigor hall Srinagar .
Speakers on the occasion while paying glowing tribute to the late poet said that the void created by the departing of Hajini can never be filled for the late poet’s extraordinary qualities and contribution towards language, literature and the school education in kashmir.
They l highlighted his contribution towards promotion of Kashmiri language and literature .
The first session of the event was presided over by the renowned physician Dr. Ghulam Qadir Ulaqband while Commissioner SMC Athar Amir was the chief guest. Professor Neerja Mattu and Sanaullah Niaz were also present in the presidium with him. In this session, Prof. Shad Ramzan delivered the keynote speech on “Different Aspects of Aziz Hajni’s Personality”.
In the second session of the ceremony, the famous Sufi poet Gulzar Hajni was awarded the Khilaat Aziz Hajni while Rafat Rasool was awarded the “Aziz Hajni Gold Medal” for securing the first position in BA Kashmiri. Four books were also released on the occasion .
Among these books, Aziz Hajni No. of “Wolarki Miller”, the annual magazine of Halqa Adab Hajin, “Aziz Hajni Shakh Teh Anhar” of Wahab Cultural Society, “Wopha Teh Voodoo” compiled by Abdul Khaliq Shams and “Wahma Siddi Hind Kashar Prose” are among these books.
In the event Jameel Ansari and Municipal Committee Hajan were awarded Momento.
Apart from this, certificates were awarded to Kashmir Tourism Department, Taksheela Sambal, Sabkas Akademi Hajan, Yawar Garments Hajan and Sultania Steel for their financial support to Woolarkey Miller.
The session was presided over by Professor Zaman Azdra while Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Ijaz Asad was the chief guest. Along with him, the President of Adabi Markaz Kamraz Muhammad Amin Butt, ADC Bandipora Wasim Raja, Zafar Iqbal Minhas, Rukhsana Jabeen and Azhar Hajni were also present in the presidium.
The program was started at 10:30 am by Qari Muhammad Shafi with the recitation of Holy Quran while Bilal Ahmed presented Naat-i Rasool Maqbool. Alhaji Ghulam Nabi Dar performed Fateh Khwani. Halqa Adab Sonawari President Shakir Shafi, in his welcome speech, called Halqa Adab Sonawari a great organization.
Dr. Riyaz Al Hasan and Rashid Nizami performed the duties of organizing the event.
At the end of the second session, the media secretary of the literature circle presented a motion of thanks.
In the last session of the program, Literary Forum program was presented by Sahitya Akademi New Delhi.
It was presided over by Professor Iqbal Nazki while Ghulam Nabi Atesh, Dr Riaz Al Hasan and Shehbaz Haqbari participated.
The program was attended by writers, writers, administration officials, civil society and language volunteers from all over the valley.
