New Delhi , September 12, 2026 ; President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at Rashtrapati Bhavan, with the two leaders discussing India-Iran relations, regional developments and the importance of maintaining peace in West Asia.

Welcoming President Pezeshkian on his first visit to India, President Murmu expressed appreciation for Iran’s support during India’s BRICS presidency.
The two leaders also discussed the longstanding friendship between India and Iran, highlighting their deep-rooted cultural connections and strong people-to-people ties.
