SRINAGAR, April 22, 2026 : The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast largely dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir till the end of April, with only brief spells of rain and thundershowers expected on select dates.

According to MeT Director Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, no major weather activity is anticipated, except short rain spells around April 24–25 and April 29–30. Weather on April 22–23 will remain mostly dry, with a slight chance of light rain in the late afternoon.

Cloudy conditions with scattered light rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds, are expected during April 24–25, while April 26–28 will mostly remain dry with isolated brief showers.

Further, April 29–30 and May 1–2 may see generally cloudy skies with occasional light rain in some areas, mainly during late afternoon hours.

The MeT has advised farmers to continue agricultural activities till April 23, noting that day temperatures are likely to rise by 2–4°C across many regions.
