Srinagar, September 5, 2026 : The Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Kashmir, has deployed a dedicated team of officers and officials to oversee transportation arrangements for the 1st International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026, scheduled to be held from September 7 to 10, 2026.

As per an official order issued by the Office of the Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir, the team has been assigned specific responsibilities to ensure smooth, coordinated and hassle-free transportation throughout the four-day international film festival.

Mubashir Jan, ARTO (Flying Squad), has been entrusted with the overall supervision of transport arrangements for the event. He will oversee the functioning of the transport team and coordinate arrangements to ensure uninterrupted mobility during the festival.

Meanwhile, Mohd Younis Khan, Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI), and Suhaib Ahmed Khan, MVI, have been assigned responsibilities pertaining to vehicle coordination, inspection and supervision of transport arrangements.

Javid Ahmad, Senior Assistant, will assist in coordination and undertake record-keeping and other transport-related responsibilities during the festival.

The deputed officers and officials have been directed to coordinate closely with the concerned officers and officials of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) to facilitate the successful and hassle-free conduct of the International Film Festival.

The deployment order was issued by the Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir, Srinagar, vide Order No. RTOK/MVD/2026/2349-S2 dated September 3, 2026.

The dedicated transport arrangements are aimed at ensuring effective vehicle management, seamless coordination and uninterrupted mobility for participants, officials and other stakeholders associated with the first International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir.

The IFFJK 2026, being held from September 7 to 10, is expected to bring together filmmakers, artists, cinema professionals and film enthusiasts, with the transport department playing a key supporting role in ensuring smooth logistical arrangements throughout the event.
