SRINAGAR, April 14, 2026 : The Directorate of Floriculture Gardens and Parks Kashmir has announced that the iconic Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden will be closed to the public from the evening of April 16, marking the conclusion of the Tulip Show 2026.
The garden, which opened to visitors on March 16, attracted thousands of tourists and locals during the annual tulip bloom, becoming a major spring attraction in Srinagar.
According to an official notice, the decision to close the garden follows recommendations of the Tulip Committee after the seasonal bloom period came to an end.
The closure officially brings curtains down on this year’s vibrant tulip display, which showcased a wide variety of colorful blooms and contributed significantly to tourism in the region.
Visitors are advised to plan their trips accordingly before the garden closes for the season.
