DODA, April 30, 2026 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today spearheaded the Drug-Free Jammu & Kashmir Campaign in Doda, calling for a united people’s movement against the growing menace of narcotics.
Addressing a large gathering, the LG described drug abuse as “silent terrorism”, warning that narcotics smuggling is as dangerous as terrorism and will be dealt with the same strict legal action.
⚠️ Strong Message Against Drug Mafia
- Drug traffickers will be treated at par with terrorists
- Every peddler, smuggler, and syndicate member will be identified and jailed
- “We will not rest until these networks are dismantled,” the LG asserted

Emphasizing Jan-Bhagidari, Manoj Sinha said:
- The fight cannot rely on government efforts alone
- Society must break the silence and resist drug culture
- Public indifference allows drug networks to thrive

- 350 FIRs registered in the last 20 days
- 440 drug traffickers arrested
- 80 days remain in the ongoing anti-drug drive
The LG urged schools, colleges, social organizations, and media to actively participate and strengthen awareness against drug abuse.
