Manish Sahni, President J&K along with National organiser Ashok Tiwari , who is on two days visit to Jammu said that the government has proved to be a complete failure in providing a safe environment to the Hindus in the Kashmir Valley and in curbing terrorism.
“An atmosphere of fear is being created in the hearts of minorities as well as Hindus. Thousands of the government employees working in Kashmir under the Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Yojana are not entitled to risk their lives and render their services in Kashmir.
The morale of terrorist organizations is so high that even journalists are also being threatened with death.
In 2022, 16 targeted killings have been carried out. The atmosphere of fear is increasing to such an extent that even the few Hindu families remaining in the Kashmir Valley are being forced to migrate,”.
He alleged that there are also reports quoting by the intelligence agencies that terrorist organizations are trying to create an atmosphere of panic and fear by targeting the minorities of the state on a large scale.
Keeping this situation in mind, the government should immediately give arms license to the Hindus of the state so that they can give a befitting reply to those who attack them with their self-defense, Sahni said, that while having weapons would boost the confidence of Hindus, fear would strike in the heart of those who committed cowardly acts like targeted killings due to which it can be controlled to a great extent.
Tiwari said that there is only one question in the mind of the minorities in Kashmir, are they being resettled in the valley to become victims of nefarious activities of terrorists? Do they not have the right to settle and live in Kashmir.
